Abu Kesombongan

Setiap manusia memiliki karakter masing-masing. Ada yang introvert sampai terlampau ekstrovert. Begitulah kuasa Allah menciptakan keberagaman, agar kita bisa mengambil pelajaran. Kali ini saya ingin menggaris bawahi sifat yang sangat dibenci Allah yaitu SOMBONG.

Ada sebuah kisah fiktif tentang persahabatan si kaya dan si miskin. Kalau biasanya cerita mengisahkan yang kayalah yang sombong, maka lain halnya dengan cerita saya. Hehehe

Kali ini saya ingin membuat kisah dari sudut pandang yang berbeda. Si miskin lah yang sombong. Kenapa? Bukan dari harta ia menyombongkan diri tapi amal perbuatannya. Kebetulan si kaya tidak pernah mendapatkan pengetahuan agama yang baik dari lingkungannya. Ia menjadi pribadi yang urakan dan berlumur dosa katanya.

Namun cahaya keimanan menolongnya lewat si miskin. Si miskin yang terlahir dari keluarga religius tumbuh dengan mengenal agama dengan baik. Ia mengajari si kaya untuk bertaubat dan menjalankan agama dengan baik. Lalu apa yang membuatnya sombong ?

Suatu hari ketika si kaya bertanya pada si miskin ,” Apakah Allah akan mengampuni dosaku?”  Ia menjawab “Tentu saja, tapi pahala dari orang yang bertaubat sepertimu tentu saja tidaklah sama dengan orang yang sejak lahir dekat dengan agama sepertiku.” Si kaya pun menjawab, “Wah hebat yah kamu sudah banyak pahalanya sedang aku tak tahu apakah amalku diterima atau tidak olehNya”.

Inilah yang membuat si miskin sombong. Ia merasa dirinya lebih baik dibanding si kaya. Ia melayang dengan bisikan syetan yang membabi buta. Seolah ia tak pernah berbuat dosa. Sejatinya Semakin sedikit kebaikan seseorang, makin banyak dia mengharapkan pujian. Semakin sedikit keburukannya, makin tegar dia akan celaan.

Apa yang kita pelajari dari kisah ini ? Terkadang seorang pendosa jauh lebih baik karena taubatan nasuhanya yang menjadikan ibadah sebagai kebutuhan dan cara ia menebus dosa dibandingkan dengan seorang yang melakukannya karena kewajiban sedari belia.

Sebesar apapun kita sekarang atau nantinya, tapi Apa pantas kita menyombongkan diri ?Apa yang pantas kita sombongkan.

Dia memberitahu, bahwa kitapun tak bersih dari dosa. Bahkan ia bisa mulia dengan taubatnya, sedang kita terdosa dengan mencemoohnya

Arti sebuah kritikan

Pernahkah anda mendapatkan kritikan? Kalau saya jujur sering sekali. Bagaimanapun lembutnya sebuah kata kritikan pasti menyakitkan bagi orang yang menerimanya. Kita tahu tujuan orang tersebut mengkritik kita sebenarnya baik, yaitu agar kita menjadi orang yang lebih baik.

Sungguh seorang akan sangat berterimakasih sekali saat orang lain mengkritiknya apabila ia sudah merasakan dahsyatnya manfaat kritikan tersebut. Tapi kebanyakan justru merasa bahwa kritikan adalah sebuah judging atau penghakiman atas kepribadian orang lain. Saya katakan TIDAK, tidak jika kita betul-betul melihat kritikus adalah penyeimbang sekaligus pemerhati setiap tindakan kita.

Bisa dibilang kritikan adalah pembangun semangat jiwa untuk tetap berlomba-lomba dalam kebaikan. Sekaligus ujian keikhlasan kita dalam menjalani kehidupan kita. Saya punya suatu kisah, yaitu seorang yang dulunya pendosa kelas kakap. Terlahir dari keluarga sederhana dan lingkungan biasa saja membuat dia menjadi orang yang umum. Saking umumnya ia selalu menganggap perbuatan dosanya adalah perbuatan umum orang kebanyakan. Suatu saat ia merasakan tamparan yang Allah kirimkan sebagai pengingat untuknya. Kepompong dari jiwanya pun mulai tumbuh sayap menandakan ia berproses menuju kedewasaan.

Ia mulai sadar bahwa setiap tindakan yang ia lakukan di masa lalunya adalah perbuatan yang tidak disukai Tuhan bahkan dibencinya. Ia menemukan jati dirinya dengan pendekatan religius yang ia dapatkan. Ia mulai percaya diri menjalani kehidupannya dan tak mau mengingat masa lalunya yang kelam. Ia justru mengajak banyak orang untuk menebarkan benih kebaikan bernafaskan illahi.

Suatu hari ia melakukan dosa kecil yaitu dengan menyakiti hati saudaranya tanpa ia sengaja. Lalu, ia mendapat kritikan hebat dari saudaranya itu. Sebuah kritikan yang mengguncang jiwa dan memanaskan hatinya. Ia sampai tak bisa meneteskan air mata saking marahnya. Bagaimana tidak? Saudaranya membuka luka lama tentang dosa-dosa yang diperbuatnya dulu. Dosa ketika ia menjadi manusia hina tak kenal agama dengan baik. Ia terpukul karena tak menyangka saudaranya itu justru mengingat masa lalu bukan masa sekarangnya.

Kalian tahu berapa lama ia menghilangkan kritikan itu dari otaknya? Sangatlah lama, karena disaat ia sibuk memperbaiki diri justru datanglah ujian lewat kritikan tersebut. Kritikan yang terngiang selalu dalam benaknya untuk terus mengingat masa lalunya.
Ia pun bertanya pada seorang yang ia rasa mampu mengobati lukanya itu. Jawaban inilah yang membuatnya melupakan rasa sakit itu.

“Jika kita tidak bisa meniru amalnya para ulama dan orang shalih, maka tirulah taubatnya para pendosa” Dua-duanya dicintai Allah.
Lihat bukan betapa cintanya Allah terhadap hambanya. Jangan terpaku dengan penilaian manusia tapi Rabb yang menciptakan dan memberikan kehidupan. Kritikan itu seperti percikan embun yang menyegarkan daun-daun jiwa kita.

Bentuk ujian bermacam-macam dan bisa lewat siapapun, bisa jadi peringatan bahkan peningkatan level keimanan kita.Memang begitulah ujian keikhlasan, tidak perlu disebut seperti layaknya surat Al-ikhlas yang tidak ada sedikitpun kata ikhlas.Jangan sibuk menilai diri, bukalah penyesuain diri dengan penilaian Allah.Semoga kita termasuk hamba-hambanya yang mengambil pelajaran dalam setiap ujian. What beautiful means?

Seringkali kita dengar orang-orang menilai wanita cantik karena mereka tinggi, langsing, berkulit putih, berambut panjang dan sebagainya. Tapi sebelum saya mendefinisikan kata cantik dalam perspektif  saya, silahkan lihat video inspiratif dibawah ini.

sudah lihat? itu sudah mewakili sebagian definisi saya tentang arti cantik sebenarnya. Saya mengangkat tema seperti ini karena jujur saya bukan seseorang yang dikatakan cantik. :D
Tetapi saya punya pandangan bahwa :

"To me, beauty is about being comfortable in your own skin
It's about knowing and accepting who you are"

Dewasa ini, orang sudah membuat "patokan" cantik. Kita bisa lihat dari ajang kontes kecantikan seperti Miss Universe. Cantik didefinisikan bertubuh tinggi semampai, body sexy aduhai, kulit mulus, dan kecerdasan. 

Inilah yang membuat kebanyakan orang sekarang menilai perempuan hanya lewat fisik saja. hehehe

Saya mengalami masa dimana orang menghina orang lain karena ia gendut, pendek, berkulit hitam atau berwajah tidak mulus.

Wajar kan sebagai sesama wanita, saya tidak suka ketika seseorang menghina fisik perempuan. I mean, They just hate someone because they're not beutiful enough for them.

tapi orang tersebut membutuhkan waktu selamanya untuk melupakan apa yang kamu ucapkan"

Dan saya percaya bahwa :

Siapa yang peduli menjadi sempurna hanya untuk dianggap cantik fisik oleh orang lain. Jadilah cantik menurut diri sendiri karena ketidaksempurnaan adalah kecantikan sejati.

They learn to believe in their academic abilities and to dream big. In the class he tries to make the rule for his students. He almost gives up because his students hard to arrange but Marissa give him spirits. So, he back to teach again. Then, the students begin to like him. One day he gets pneumonia but he decides to teach by video record. After back to the class, the student’s progressive go down. Clark thinks he was failed but he remains optimistic about their chance. After examination, Mr. Clark takes his student to see The Phantom of the Opera. Then, his class become the best class and his students got a higher score than any other class in final examination and Mr. Clark was regarded by his student as their best teacher. Describe the reason Student of teacher’s trainning This movie is good for those who is student of teacher’s training. The reason is because the movie give us the knowledge about how to survive in the worst class with the unruly students, give us inspiration about creative teaching’s methods, how to encourage students to dream big and take a risk  and the way we have to know well our students and their problems personally because the students are our family.  I mean, As a teacher we have to know the things above well and we not only oriented in high score and graduation of students. This will inform the way I think about teaching as I move forward because I wish to be an innovative educator, and I am always thinking about how my students will engage in certain materials. Ron Clark’s story inpires me to continue to believe in the power of building community, and it shows that all of the hard work and time teacher’s put in problem solving and creating lessons can and will pay off in the long run. Then, Ron Clark inspires us to be a creative teacher and give attention to our students. Ron Clark gives us hint and practical strategies to keep children excited about learning and motivated to be their best, such as make a rap for remember the President of USA. Spectator’s  perspective The movie inspire the people to know how difficult to be teacher. The teacher not only teach them but also has a role like second parents. They have to guide the students if they do something wrong and give them spirits when they about to give up and so on. The parents also has important role in student’s life. Their support and care is pretty important to make the students good in their school life. So, a condusive environmental is necessary for students. That is why eventhough the people is not teacher, they have to create good environmental and be good example for students.  Then the movie give the people one of the dedicate teacher description and of course there are countless teachers who work harder than this guy and achieve more realistic results. No one will ever make a movie about them, and if they did, it would be a thousand times better than that one. To all of you who make a difference every day despite ever obstacle possible, you are our Ron Clarks.

2.    Write down the sequences of movie based on scene moment

Sequence 1 Aurora, North California 1994. Mr. Ron clark waiting for his first day to teach. He see a boy get punishment to stand up in the trash. Sequence 2 Four years later, In the summer celebration. Mr. Clark get the name in parking area to make his name permanent because he success to bring the students to the number one in beaufort in a row for four years. Sequence 3 Ron’s house. He decide to move to New York because he wants to make it real what he always said to his students to dream big and take risks.  He permit with his parents. Sequence 4 New York City. He see the night view in New york. Sequence 5 At 11.30 AM. He move to the new place for he to live and meet Yolanda. Sequence 6 The next morning. Mr. Clark ask to yolanda about schools in harlem cause he wants to teach. Sequence 7 In one of the school. Mr. Clark is rejected to be a teacher there. Sequence 8 In the evening. He comes back to the motel to pay rent house cost. Sequence 9 In the Restaurant. Mr. Clark  works there and meet  Marissa and her boyfriend. Sequence 10 At Inner Harlem Elementary school. He see the student still fight with the teacher then the principal come and the teacher decide to quit. He asks the job to the principal and Mr clark wants to teaches the bottom class then he can starts on monday. Sequence 11 In front of the restaurant. Marissa still upset and he meet Mr. Clark who still eats sandwich and he tells to her that he gets a job. Sequence 12 Mr. Clark wants to visit the student’s house before he teaches. He gives the suggestions to their parents to help out the student by giving the spirit in learning. Sequence 13 At inner harlem elementary school. The students are playing. Then they come to the class while Mr. Clark waiting for them in front of the class. Sequence 14 In the class. Mr. Clark starts his first class but the students make fun of him. He shows the rules in his class to the students. One of the students, shemeika drop the books to show that she doesn’t like him. Sequence 15 In the end of class. The cleaning service or office boy come into the messy class with Mr. Clark sit down in one of the bench. Sequence 16 Outside the school. Mr. Clark see that his car was painted by the students. Sequence 17  In the classroom. The students shock because the class wall turn into blue. Mr. Clark did it. He painted the classroom but Mr. Turner doesn’t like it. Sequence 18 On the lunch time. Mr. Clark asks the students to throw their gum. Sequence 19 Marissa helps Mr. Clark to move the stuff and gives him spirits to teach. She also tells about her relationship with jason. Sequence 20 In the classroom. Mr. Clark shows again about the rules that the tudents have to follow if they don’t want the consequences. Sequence 21 Mr. Clark talks to Badriyah and see that Julio still take bet on When Mr. Clark going to quit. Mr. Clrk tells Julio that Gambling is ilegal. Sequence 22 Mr. Clark come to the canteen and talk about something with one of the lady there. Sequence 23 Mr. Clark teaches in the classroom and give the assignment to the students about their dreams and aspiration . Sequence 24 Lunch time. Mr. Clark asks students to line up if they want to get lunch. Shemeika cut the line and they are waiting for her to admit it. Julio goes to the canteen first but doesn’t get the food because he is in Mr. Clark’s class. Sequence 25 Mr. Clark calls his mother. Sequence 26 Mr. Clark finds the class mess up. Sequence 27 Mr. Clark go back to teach again after the room get clean up. Sequence 28 In the toilet . Shemeika and her friend talk back the bad things about Mr clark. Sequence 29 Outside the classroom. Mr clark meet the students who are still playing. Sequence 30 In the Classroom. Julio and Tayshwan fight and Mr. Clark separated them. Sequence 31 In the restaurant. Mr. Clark do his job as waitress. Sequence 32 In the classroom. Mr clark check the assignment but no one make it. He is angry and tell the students that they are win. Sequence 33 Mr. Clark goes with Marina to see New York. Then Marina gives him spirit to teach again. Sequence 34 Mr. Clark back to teach again with interesting method. He uses milk to get student’s attention. He will drinks the milk if the students listen to him every 15 seconds. Sequence 35  Mr. Clark join the students play double dutch. The students start to like him but Mr. Turner doesn’t like him. Sequence 36 Mr. Clark called by Mr. Turner in his office. Then, Mr clark defend his students that Mr. Turner say they are from the bottom of the class. Mr. Clark wants Mr. Turner to respect to him and his students. Sequence 37 In the classroom. Mr. Clark brings the cake with the candle. The students light up the candle for the motivation by Mr. Clark. Sequence 38 Mr. Clark introducing to his students that they will learn about all of the U.S.’s president’s next class, but none of the students seem excited. Sequence 39 Mr. Clark in his dim one bedroom apartment grading papers. He inspired by rap music and wants to make the material with it. Sequence 40 Mr. Clark wants the students do the test because they didnt pass the last test. He make “President Rap” that make the students easy to understand and they love it. Sequence 41 Mr. Clark give the result of the test. He talk with Julio and wants 3 session to study together. Sequence 42 Mr. Clark meet tayshawn that still with friends. He also wants study together with him. Sequence 43 Mr. Clark wait Tayshawn and Julio in the restaurant. But, Tayshawn doesn’t want come in cause he know there is Julio. Mr. Clark helps Julio learn Math by playing card like gambling. Sequence 44 Mr. Clark visit Shemeika’s house and he helps her to do her homework while he make a dinner. Unfortunately, Shemeika’s mother doesn’t like what Mr. Clark doing. Sequence 45 Shemeika’s mother come to the school to complain about Mr. Clark. But at the end she changes her mind to make shameika not really busy with babysitting. She supports her child to continue in middle school. Sequence 46 Mr. Clark gets the grafitty from Tayshawn but Julio admit it that it was his. Sequence 47 Tayshawn angry with what julio do about the grafitty. Sequence 48 Mr. Clark defend Tayshawn in front of tayshawn’s parents to the principal to not expel tayshawn . Sequence 49 Mr. Clark gives the students his number and helps tayshawn to do math after class. Sequence 50 Mr. Clark get illness. Sequence 51 He see the doctor and doctor said that he got pneonomia. Sequence 52 He wakes up in the morning. Sequence 53 He teaches again eventhough he still sick. Then he collapse when he explain about gravity and ambulance take him. Sequence 54 Mr. Clark record video to teaches the students. Marissa helps him out. Sequence 55 The students learn gravity by seeing the video that Mr.Clark make. Sequence 56 Mr. Clark goes back to teach and the students welcome him. He angry because the students score are bad. But he motivate to the students that they are not losers and they can pass the test well . Sequence 57 Before the National Exam, Mr. Clark talk to Badriyah that she cans pass the exam and be a doctor. Sequence 58 Mr. Clark meet tayshawn and helps him out. Sequence 60 On the final exam, Mr. Clark wait the students do their exam. Sequence 61 Marissa come to the Mr. Clark’s house. Sequence 62 In the classroom, Mr. Clark prepare the suprize for his students. He asks the students to go to the opera together. Sequence 63 Tayshawn goes back to home. Sequence 64 On the road, shameika tell to her mom and her friend about the story in the opera. Sequence 65 Tayshawn step father hit tayshawn cause he ruin his wall by paint it. Sequence 66 Mr. Clark call the student’s names but he can’t find tayshawn. Sequence 67 Mr. Clark come to the Tayshawn’s house and see the house so mess up. Sequence 68 He finds tayshawn hurt and bleeding. He helps him out. Sequence 69 Mr. Clark take tayshawn to Mr. Turner’s house and he will stay there for a while. Sequence 70 In the classroom, Mr. Clark gives the students trophy about their achievement. Then Mr. Turner announce that the bottom class get the higher score than the honor class. Also, Shameika get the highest score in Math and English. They vote Mr. Clark as father of teacher in town. Then marissa come to the class too. Mr. Clark’s students went on to attend some of the finest middle school and highschool in New York.

Explain the issue of movie The film represents the school as a typical urban school with students tearing up paper, being unruly, talking while the teacher is talking, and administrators assuming students are low performing or special needs. The students in this movie are a mixture of African American, Latino, and Indian. It also showcases a principal who only cares about getting high test scores, and not really considering what students can really do. Then, another issue is the students have difficult family lives. One child is in foster care and gets abused by his foster parent. Another child is the de-facto mom to her younger siblings, as her mother works two jobs. The children have bigger problems than not knowing grammar, and their problems may disturb more sensitive kids or kids who have been in similar situations. Describe the human being relationship (character) a.     Mr. Ron Clark : a teacher who is idealist, compassionate, innovative, creative and passionate. b.    Tayshawn              : tough-minded student, brave, indifferent. c.     Shameika               :  unruly, loud, brave, spirited leaders, mothering nature. d.    Principal Turner : selfish, tactless and doesn’t care e.     Marissa Vega         : lovely, co-worker, beautiful, hardworking, good at acting. f.      Julio Vazquez        : student that like to steal, like to bet, play smart cards. g.     Ron Clark Sr..       : Ron clark mother who is  kind, and thoughtful. h.    Badriyah              : shy, quiet, smart, bookworm and the only one who likes Mr. Clark at the first time. i.      Arena Raquel        :  calm and likes to sleep in class. j.      Badriyah's Father : father curb child, undemocratic, authoritarian. k.    Jean Clark               : ron clark father who is compassionate and wise. l.      Doretha Wallace  : Mother shamaika that hardworking and thoughtful. m.  Hadley                     : ron clark’s friend at the cafe. n.     Alita Sanchez        : cool student. o.    Yolanda                   : hotel receptionist who  is busy, nice and firm. Describe the relation of character (conflict) a.        Ron Clark and Marissa Vega (Pro)  Ron meet marissa when  he works in a restaurant and they become a good friends. Mr. Ron Clark support Marissa in her acting and she support him in finding job as a teacher. Then  he gets job in typical urban school with students tearing up paper, being unruly, talking while the teacher is talking, and administrators assuming students are low performing or special needs. Mr. Clark decide to give up because all of the problems above, but then Marissa give him spirits to teach again. Finally, they become a couple after Marissa breaks up with her boyfriend and they support each other. b.       All the students in bottom class except Badriyah, Mr. Turner, Shemeika’s mother. All the students in lowest class hate Mr. Clark at first time he teach. The only one who love Mr. Clark is Badriyah. They make fun of what Mr Clark say and teach. They don’t like the rules that he makes. Mr Turner didn’t like how Mr. Clark teach at first, He thought that Mr. Clark act like 12 years old. Shameika’s mother didn’t like Mr. Clark cause he come to the house and asks shameika to do their homework while he cook a dinner. She complained to the school the next day. Describe the ending of conflict Mr. Clark and Marissa become a couple. The ending of conflict between Mr. Clark and students in bottom class is they become like a family cause they love Mr. Clark at the end. They love Mr. Clark and give him vote as a father of teacher in town. Mr. Clark respect them when people think that they are losers. The ending of conflict between Mr. Clark and Mr. Turner is Mr. Clark finally prove that he can make bottom students pass the exam till the score higher than the honor class. Mr. Turnes get impression of what Mr.Clark achieve. The ending of conflict between Mr. Clark and Shameika’s mother is finally she realize about shameika intellegency and she support her by reduce time for her in babysitting. She also supports shameika to continue her study in finest middle school.  Mr. Clark build Ron Clark school in Atlanta.

Indahnya segmen kegagalan

Hai everybadeeeeh, Hari ini aku lagi lega se lega leganya. Kenapa?
Karena aku gagal. hehe

Mungkin terdengar aneh tapi kali ini aku benar-benar bersyukur atas kegagalanku ini. Mungkin separuh dari kegagalan ini terjadi karena doaku pula.

As you know, saya ikut Training kemaren dengan pengetahuan NOL tentang materi training tersebut padahal aku udah lolos seleksi awal. Lalu tahap akhirnya wawancara untuk kedua kalinya aku benar-benar menyiratkan jawabanku pada mentor bahwa aku kurang yakin bahwa aku mampu untuk menjadi leader apalagi aku belum tahu sama sekali seperti apa work camp.

Lihat kan bahwa kegagalan itu engga selamanya membuat seseorang kecewa bahkan mungkin lega dan sedikit senang karena memang saya melihat kemampuan saya yang menurut saya belum cukup untuk jadi yang terbaik dibandingkan yang lain.

Allah benar-benar mengabulkan doa saya dan menjadikan saya memaknai kegagalan dengan rasa yang menyegarkan kalbu. :D
Mungkin tidak sepenuhnya kegagalan karena aku tidak merasa gagal sama sekali. Aku mungkin akan merasa gagal kalau aku tidak mencoba sama sekali dan sekarang jadi tahu seperti apa work camp itu.

Sebenarnya kalau secara sistem aku itu engga bisa ikut Training itu karena aku belum training untuk member baru yaitu salah satu persyaratannya. Tetapi aku lolos dan ikut training. Itu tandanya aku sukses. hahahaha
